Anna Rosinke and Maciej Chmara are showing an interior situation that frames objects in the context of food. They present a small mix of their recent-years designs that refer to this topic, such as cutlery, glassware and a kitchen.

Is it desirable to be offline? And is it at all possible in our day? How can new forms of freedom or luxury develop from it? What does being offline mean for our humanity? How important is it for our culture to keep our distance from the web, its algorithms, artificial intelligence, bots and bits? It lies in our nature to expand, to improve our capabilities. So why would a rational person cast off his or her own sense-expanding extra limb? #OFFLINE focuses on installations and objects that are open to this discourse and question contemporary realities. With chmara’rosinke, breadedEscalope, Klemens Schillinger, and Patrick Rampelotto, also guest positions of the newly established TRIALE Institute.
We are pleased to be a part of this years London Design Fair at Tent London with the exhibition “Textura. A Polish touch” organized by Adam Mickiewicz Institute / Culture.pl . You can find our “Vases and a mirror” and “CF02″ there.
“This year the Adam Mickiewicz Institute / Culture.pl returns to the London Design Festival with an exciting new exhibit on Polish design. Curated by Paulina Matusiak, the exhibit features a broad overview of Polish projects, celebrating design with a tactile quality and exploring the unique potential of different materials and textures. Weaving techniques and patterns are highlighted throughout the designs as the exhibit brings together works representing the past and the present, as well as a diversity of production methods and material applications.” culture.pl

SPAZIO PULPO is a space for experimental aesthetic creativity. It sees the genre designations of “art” and “design” as restrictive and outdated. Instead, it aligns itself on formations such as Russian constructivism and the De Stijl and Memphis movements. The core of their activities consists in the presentation of three annual collections by the SPAZIO PULPO founded by breadedEscalope, chmara.rosinke and Patrick Rampelotto. In addition, designers – mainly from East and Central Europe – are invited at regular intervals to present their works. Regular evening events focus on historical and contemporary phenomena and trends in design.

Inspired by the manifesto published in 1930 proclaiming the futurist kitchen of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, chmara.rosinke are propagating a new creative radicalness in haute cuisine. The “grand freedom” of the round white plate is to be curtailed and cooks inspired to venture on new paths in the culinary art, together with designers. Taking the spotlight this time however is not the design of the table service but cooking according to aesthetic conditions. A culinary-creative experiment, made possible through the 2014 Nespresso Design Scholarship and is presented during Vienna Design Week 2015.

Exhibition “Austrian Design – Surprisingly Ingenious” shows recent highlights from the portfolios of 22 Austrian designers, design bureaus and furniture producers. The emotions which unite the work on display are the obsession with finding technical solutions to complex problems from daily life, a passion for exploring the limits to which unusual materials can be put, a desire to couple aesthetic minimalism with tongue-in-cheek humour. location: Klokgebouw Hall 3, Klokgebouw 50, 5617 AB Eindhoven

chmara.rosinke (AT/PL) at Wäscheflott
“Ever since 1948, the Viennese manufactory of Wäscheflott has been a household name for bespoke shirts and the production of underwear and linens. In their Passionswege project, the designer duo chmara.rosinke focus less on the select Wäscheflott products than far more on the evolutionary process of a tailor-made shirt. How can it be optimised with a view to furnishing, interior atmosphere and product presentation? The Wäscheflott experience hits the stage with an analytical eye on the market segment it is addressing and chmara.rosinke’s very own language of forms – plain-and-simple, and poetic.” VDW

As a MAK deisgner-in-residence 2013 we are happy to take part in an exhibition “Nomadic furniture 3.0″. One of the projects that we realise during the residency will be presented as a part of the exhibition during the opening on 11th of June 2013 at 7 .00 p.m. We invite you and hope to see you there.
The exhibition takes the current increasing demand for do-it-yourself instructions for furniture and furnishings as an occasion to trace the origins of this movement and pursue them to the present day. The publications Nomadic Furniture 1 and 2 by Victor Papanek and James Hennessey (1973/74) and Enzo Mari‘s Autoprogettazione project (1974) are important references and starting points for depicting the DIY movement as a contemporary phenomenon.

” The two Polish-born designers chmara.rosinke create objects that at first glance seem improvised and intuitive. The exhibited furniture is a means to an end. It transports the design philosophy of the creative duo and documents love of detail in material and manufacture. Among other prizes, their spatial intervention on the theme of mobile hospitality won this year’s DMY Award. It is the context for the invitation by the two artists for people to join in their interactive and culinary events. ”
Klangraum Stein in presented at exposition of one projet in Brno 20.09-10.10.2012.
“The seasonal outdoor exposition will present a selection of realised designs within the Central European area focused on a younger generation of architects. Each two weeks a new architectural project will be exhibited in a temporary object in the courtyard of the House of the Kunstat Lords in Brno. The aim of this exhibition is to reach an immediate contact of the general public with contemporary architecture and to boost an urban space. The exhibition installation will be used as well as an urban furniture for sitting or a bike stand. The presentation of each project will embrace its genesis from an original idea to its realisation. Projects will be exhibited through a backlit panel and working models.
A part of each project opening will be a lecture of its authors, this will take place also in the public space of the courtyard.”
