A timber daybed

A simple wooden daybed with foldable textile screens. The inspiration for this object came from nomadic peoples that not only wear textiles, but use them to create walls of their huts, thereby giving material, metaphysical and acoustical shelter. The mobile screens positioned over the daybed allude to this and aim to provide a feeling of safety. They can also be used to signal if one would like to be approached or rather not disturbed.
