MAK stool

The MAK stool was designed as a part of the “Nomadic Furniture 3.0. – New Liberated  Living?” exhibition at the MAK. During the long night of museums we built 200 stools together with 200 MAK visitors in three and a half hours. We set up an assembly line in the entrance hall of the museum with moulds and tools to simplify the building process separating the single steps from each other, so that even children could build a stool themselves with just a little help. The project reflected on the fluid borders between mass- and DIY production.
